The Boldman House Museum Manager/Society Curator (Manager) is a part-time role, capped at 30 hours weekly, reporting directly to the Historic Depot Museum Director. Annual salary range is $24K to $27K. The position opens as early as mid-August. Key responsibilities include:
Committee and Board Participation: Chairing the Boldman House Committee, creating agendas, taking minutes, conducting meetings, and assisting in note-taking at DHDS board meetings.
Visitor Engagement: Conducting engaging museum tours and tailoring them to different age groups.
Curatorial Duties: Managing and developing the museum’s collection database, creating exhibits, and maintaining both the Boldman House and Depot collections.
Event Assistance: Supporting the Depot Director in event planning and execution.
Public Relations: Developing and implementing marketing strategies, managing social media accounts, giving talks, and participating in parades and events.
Report Writing: Composing annual reports and newsletter articles.
Garden and Janitorial Duties: Assisting with garden maintenance and light housekeeping tasks.
