Board Recruitment

The Washington Museum Association is currently recruiting new board members to fill open and/or upcoming seats. We are seeking nominations for board members who are committed to the museum field and believe in WaMA’s mission.

“Meeting new colleagues and learning more from other museums around the state is wonderful. It is also amazing to witness how everyone comes together to find ways to serve out museum community, help our museum field thrive, and support each other.” – Nancy Salguero McKay, Executive Director, Highline Heritage Museum, Washington Museum Association Board Member

“When I joined the WaMA board. I didn’t really know what I was getting myself into, but as a museum professional at a small-to-mid-size museum I felt like I was having trouble connecting outside of my immediate sphere of partner organizations. What I’ve found on the board is a group of highly engaged professionals across the entire state who are thoughtful, informed, and passionate allies and friends.” – Korum Bischoff (he/him), Deputy Direction, Bainbridge Island Museum of Art, Washington Museum Association Board Member
