Multi-discipline, accredited Museum in the heart of the Pac NW

The Whatcom Museum, located in the heart of the beautiful Pacific Northwest, is currently accepting applications for a Museum Educator. We are a multi-discipline, accredited Museum, with a focus on Art, Natural History, and Pacific Northwest History. This full-time position will focus primarily on Art disciplines and works directly with the Education Manager, along with the Education and Exhibition teams.
Work includes curriculum and exhibition interpretive material development, art-related program development, and assisting with the management of the museum’s docent program – with all duties having a focus on aligning education and curatorial objectives.
The successful candidate will have a Bachelor of Arts or Science in Education, Art History, Museum Education, or related field. Additionally, a minimum of two years (full time) responsible experience in a Museum setting, Children’s Museum, or classroom setting. A combination of experience and training that provides the applicant with the knowledge and skills to perform the job will be considered.
An excellent full benefit package is offered, including an annual four weeks Paid-Time-Off (PTO) and eleven paid holidays; Medical and Dental insurance, and a SIMPLE IRA retirement plan. Salary range is $36,000 to $38,000 (DOE).
