Website North Olympic History Center

Founded in 1948, the North Olympic History Center (formerly the Clallam County Historical Society) in Port Angeles, WA, seeks a full-time executive director to manage its administration and daily operations. This includes financial, collections, personnel management of volunteers, community relations, fundraising and programs. This person must accept the vision, mission, and core values of the History Center and must have a thorough understanding of the center’s services and functions.

The center operates a research library, actively collects artifacts that help tell the story of Washington state’s North Olympic Peninsula, oversees a “Hands on History” program that works with elementary, middle and high school students, and provides public programs.

The Executive Director reports to the center’s board of directors. Yearly salary: $48,000 (40-hour week). EOE.
